Picture by Michael Page, showing the Walberswick to Dunwich Shingle Ridge. The ridge is the only sea defence protecting the lowlands to the South of Walberswick; it is a classed a ’Soft Defence’. The picture was taken 11th May 2008 and it clearly shows breaching on what was a normal high tide.
