Blyth Estuary Group images of recent river activity and attempts to curtail the resultant defence breaches. This picture was added on the 25th July 2008.
Picture by John Huggins, 1st April 2008, shows the dam at the midway stage more than 1000 sandbags had now been placed in the breach. A team of other workers not shown in the pictures was continually feeding a supply of sandbags to the site some 50 or more metres away.
