Blyth Estuary Group images of recent river activity and attempts to curtail the resultant defence breaches. This picture was added on the 25th July 2008.
This Picture by John Huggins is taken from the river looking into the marsh; it shows the main breach after the third construction failed in the storm surge of 1st March 2008. Some debris is left some 30 meters into the marsh but nothing remained of the constructed dam between the river walls.
